TGQS is an introduction to the great questions of humankind, through a discussion-based exploration of timeless classical text. TGQS offers courses that revolve around a discussion-based model and help students of all age and ability levels develop the practice skills needed to speak clearly, reason effectively, and think creatively.
The primary goal was to redesign the website for the program to accomplish the following objectives:
ACC Students, Faculty and Staff- as well as those interested in continuing support of TGQS through grants
I designed the identity, website, and supporting promotional material and working with a professional photographer to capture images to tell the story. The design had to work within the ACC design system, and the original concept had to be modified to work within the system. The colors of the project reflect the soft tones of classic sculptures and provide warmth, reflection, and light. The images of this project show classical statues of ancient thinkers such as Homer and Socrates, with human eyes looking at the viewer. Eyes are commonly associated with the following qualities: intelligence, light, vigilance, moral conscience, and truth.
With the website redesign and supporting marketing materials, the registration for the course went up from 300 students a semester to over 700.
